Welcome to Fortune for Misfortune (FfM), a registered 501(c)(3) charity. Consider a random act of kindness which will have a ripple effect to impact lives in ways you may never know. An older gentleman spotted a young boy on the beach throwing starfish back into the ocean one at a time. The man approached the boy and said "Young man, there are thousands of starfish on this beach. Do you really believe what you are doing is going to make a difference?" The young boy bent down, picked up another starfish, held it up before the man’s eyes and said "It makes a difference to this one” and with that he tossed the starfish into the ocean."		“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. CALL FOR HELP In 2008, FfM teamed with Mercy Air to deliver 500lbs of baby food to RUAMA in South Africa. Click here to see what an amazing difference your help has made and our current emergent mission.	ADOPTION Bruno & Mod (adopted 2007 by FfM) continue to do well and write us letters. We need to raise $868 each year to continue our support of these beautiful children. If we reach our goal of $2,000, we will be able to adopt two more children.	RESERVE FUND Funds are needed to extend the reach of FfM and to address any unforeseen needs of food banks such as City Team, Emergent calls for help and our adopted children.
